Johannesburg, South Africa, Wednesday 22nd February 2023: Awery Aviation Software's Chief Commercial Officer, Tristan Koch, has announced that the company is rolling out an open-access version of its online booking and quoting portal, CargoBooking, across South Africa, Switzerland, and Spain.
CargoBooking, powered by Awery, allows airlines and GSSAs to provide freight forwarders with real-time air cargo rate distribution, quotes, and booking options, connecting capacity and demand on one platform. The now freely accessible solution is live and ready to use, with GSSA ATC already implementing it across its system.
"We believe in an air cargo digital democracy, and by offering an open-access version of our CargoBooking platform, we can help drive that transformation to the benefit of all players in the industry," said Tristan Koch, Chief Commercial Officer, Awery, speaking at the Air Cargo Africa conference in Johannesburg.
"The automation that CargoBooking brings to the sales process leads to tangible benefits such as cost savings and operational efficiencies, as well as providing an additional sales distribution channel," said Anna Balan, Head of CargoBooking. "The efficiency and responsiveness of the air cargo industry depends on quick and accurate communication between stakeholders in the supply chain, something that can only be achieved through the global uptake of air cargo digitalisation."
CargoBooking's eMagic tool, included with the platform, converts email and text enquiries from various formats and languages into a standard data format, removing the need for costly, time-consuming manual processing. This information carries through to bookings, payments, and track and trace, giving CargoBooking an end-to-end fulfilment solution.
